A strong voice
We know how important it is to be part of a strong and powerful community. It allows us to successfully enforce and promote the interests of our members in public. For this reason, we are affiliated to important national and nationwide umbrella associations: BAGV GLAS+SOLAR is a member of the Confederation of German Employers‘ Association (Bundesvereinigung der Deutschen Arbeitgeberverbände BDA) as well as the vbw – Bavarian Economic Association (Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft e.V.).
BAGV GLAS+SOLAR is divided into four main groups which corresponds to the essential sectors in the glass industry: The hollow glass production including glassworks finishing and processing, flat glass and glass fibre production, glass finishing and processing as well as the solar industry. The association’s main opinion-leading body is the social committee. It consists of the Executive Board and other members elected by the main groups. Here, wages and socio-political interests as well as industrial law issues are debated and coordinated. The members themselves are welcome to participate in the commission finalising their wage agreement contract.
